Mission Statement

Concept:

As a cultural and culinary bridge, Life in Sendai (LiS) through s.e.e.k (Sendai Experimental Kitchen) will organize potlucks, food-related events, and workshops where international and local residents can interact and engage with each other over a shared meal. These gatherings will not only promote cultural exchange and understanding, but also serve as an environment to facilitate information-sharing and becoming each other's support group. Through in-person events, we aim to further expand community engagement via a web platform for easier and accessible sharing of information and organization of member-organized events.

Vision:

We aim to bridge cultural and language barriers by conducting both in-person and online platforms to facilitate discussions, plan events, and share up-to-date information and resources. By expanding our platform to a website, both the Japanese and international residents have broader access to communicate with each other and exchange valuable information and services.
